About Donna

Donna McMahon is a professional artist and art instructor from Hendersonville, NC. She has displayed her art in shows both locally and in Florida, where she lived before moving to the mountains of North Carolina. Her artwork can be seen in homes and businesses around the country.

Family has always been very important, and her daughter has been the inspiration for much of her “nostalgia” style paintings. Well known for her portraits ranging from pencil to oils, she also does on-site portraiture in pastels, having begun her portrait career at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Donna’s courtroom sketches have been featured on WCNC 6 News, Charlotte, as well as CNN, Atlanta and affiliates. Besides being a member of the Portrait Society of America, she has served on the Lincoln Arts Council Board of Trustees and been a member of the Guild and Hendersonville Arts Council..

Some of her notable subjects include U.S. Congressman Heath Shuler’s children and Former NFL Panther’s Quarterback, Dan McCauley.
